My name is Jodie McCrystal and I am currently at Dundee University studying Interior and Environmental design. This course is a mixture of interior design, architecture, lighting, furniture and conceptual design. So far throughout this course I have thoroughly enjoyed the furniture and lighting projects and would be interested in taking the knowledge I have gained during these projects further. I am currently in my final year and working towards my degree. I am working on lighting for my mini/major thesis project.

Bomb Project

3day BOMB project: conceptual 'portrait' of a building typology

This was a group project with IED 1st -4th year we were to collectively create a 3D reinterpretation of the building typology SHOP

The 3D piece that we came up with stemmed from our mind mapping of what shop represents to each of us. The idea that you enter a shop being hit with advertisements, you exchange money and leave with something.
We took apart a shirt that we bought and and attached receipt, printed money and different advertisements on to it which repressed our thoughts on shop. When hung the pieces of the outfit within a box (to represent a shop window)on different levels so that the entire outfit can be seen from on view point.
